Dave became president of Radio for Salem Media Group in January 2010, overseeing Salem’s local radio stations. More recently, effective January 1, 2015, Dave was promoted to president, Broadcast Media, and now oversees all local stations as well as our network assets and rep firms.
Throughout his 32-year professional career in the radio broadcast communications industry, Dave has provided leadership in promotions, marketing, sales and management working in Chicago for NBC’s locally-owned radio station WMAQ-TV for 12+ years and then for CBS’s WBBM-TV for 8+ years.
In 2001, Dave felt called to use his talents and abilities in a more significant way, and joined Salem to manage the Chicago market. In 2003 he was promoted to vice president and general manager and was given oversight of Salem’s Milwaukee cluster of stations, and in 2004 he helped launch WIND-AM, Salem’s conservative News/Talk formatted station. In October 2009, Dave was promoted to an operations vice president position for 14 months prior to moving to his current role.
Dave and Barbara, his wife of 32 years, and their 17 year old daughter reside in Camarillo, California. Three other adult children are working professionally.
